Volunteer Futures is VBC's annual conference, full of insightful speakers, workshops, and networking opportunities.

Empowered Leaders, Engaged Volunteers

This year’s theme represents the goals of Volunteer Futures, to empower leaders with hands-on skills to engage volunteers in their communities. Volunteer Futures 2026 will empower leaders across the voluntary and non-profit sector with dynamic sessions, hands-on workshops, and the tools and insights needed to build capacity and deepen impact across their organizations. With these skills, our attendees will better lead and support their communities and volunteers.

Volunteer Futures FAQ

  • Who is Volunteer Futures for?

    • Volunteer Futures is tailored towards managers of volunteers, board of directors, executive directors, program managers, etc.  Content is focused on non-profit organization development to build capacity and create a stronger impact in the community.

  • How do I get the VBC member discount?

    • Member discount codes are emailed to the email associated with the membership account. Contact admin to check your membership status or have your discount code re-sent. The discount code can be used by all staff/volunteers/employees of a member organization. 

    • Become a member today to get the membership discount.

  • How do I access the conference?

    • The conference will be hosted via Zoom. More information coming soon. 

  • When is the schedule released?

    • The schedule will be released in August.
       

  • When are speakers announced?

    • Speaker applications are currently open. Speakers will be announced in July and August.
       

  • What is the refund and ticket transfer policy?

    • Refunds are available until September 18, 2026.  After this date, refunds will not be processed. Email admin@volunteerbc.bc.ca for more information.

    • Tickets may be transferred before September 25, 2026. Email admin@volunteerbc.bc.ca for more information.
