About the Event

Session Details:

The nonprofit and volunteer sector has faced unprecedented pressure in recent years. Stress is a regular part of life, but without the right supports it can tip into burnout, affecting not just individuals but entire teams and organizations.

In Burnout: Breaking the Cycle, participants will learn how to prepare burnout prevention and recovery plans for themselves and their teams.

We’ll explore the root causes of burnout – personal, professional, and systemic – and identify actionable steps participants can take back to their organizations.

Working from three perspectives (individual, team, and organizational), we’ll focus on strategies that help people regulate stress, create thriving teams, and build healthier, more sustainable workplaces.

Participants will leave with practical tools to strengthen boundaries, communication, and support networks, as well as a shared framework to address burnout at a systems level – going beyond short-term fixes.
