As President of VQ Volunteer Strategies, Beth partners with organizations and their leadership to increase impact through strategic and innovative engagement. As a thought leader, Beth regularly participates in the national dialogue about volunteerism and engagement and is co-editor of the book, Transforming Disruption to Impact: Rethinking Volunteer Engagement for a Rapidly Changing World. She provides consulting and training to organizations across the US and Canada including supporting dozens of organizations to become accredited Service Enterprises. Prior to becoming a consultant, Beth worked as an executive director and marketing director for education and faith-based organizations and spent years working with museums as an educator, manager, and anthropologist. She draws upon her anthropology experience still, helping organizations through the culture-shift process—from viewing volunteer management as a program to embracing engagement as a strategy to fulfill mission.

Lisa Mort-Putland is a volunteer management professional with over 20 years experience working with volunteers, volunteer programs, and volunteer-led organizations. She is the former Executive Director at Volunteer Victoria who currently sits on the board of Volunteer Canada. Lisa holds a BA in Drama and a Masters in Public Adminisration. Lisa is from Walies and is an identical twin.

Shelby Corley, MA, CE, is the CEO of Three Hive Consulting, a values-based evaluation firm operating across Canada. With twenty years of experience working alongside nonprofits, community organizations, and social service agencies, her approach to evaluation is practical, equity-focused, and grounded in real-world organizational constraints.
Shelby believes good evaluation doesn't have to be complicated — it has to be useful. She has spent her career helping organizations of all sizes build the knowledge they need to improve programs, support their people, and demonstrate impact. She is a member of the Métis Nation within Alberta and a Credentialed Evaluator.

Gretchen Ferguson is Vantage Point's Director of Education and Consulting Programs. A dynamic leader with over 20 years of experience across the non-profit and post-secondary sectors in Canada and internationally, she specializes in education design and delivery, program development, and strategic initiatives — with a track record of mobilizing the resources, relationships, and partnerships that move missions forward. Gretchen brings board experience — including as a founding member and chair of multiple non-profits — and is deeply committed to equity, economic inclusion, and empowering organizations and communities to drive meaningful change.
Grace Davidson

In 2010, Grace volunteered during the winter Olympics through a provincial lead initiative, called 2010 Legacies Now. At 6 years old, she recognized the fun that volunteering brings. This progressed throughout the years, volunteering for community events, organizations, and youth programs and boards/committees.
Grace realized volunteering didn’t just bring fun, it brought a sense of meaning, pride and connection. It allowed her to find her voice, to find her ‘thing’. As well as becoming a volunteer coordinator/manager for Volunteer Terrace in Terrace B.C. and for a music festival production company, Electric Sinphony. Within her position at Volunteer Terrace, she continues to learn how important youth voices are. She recognizes how lucky she was to be able to volunteer at such a young age, and the skills and opportunities it brought her. Her goal is to make sure youth feel safe, heard, understood and welcomed in all spaces. Allowing their voices, ideas, frustrations, and goals to be heard.

She has worked across corporate, government, and non-profit sectors in Canada, the U.S., and the Netherlands, leading initiatives in leadership development, employee engagement, and community partnerships. As Principal of Paper Chain, Paula supports local organizations, providing strategic communications, program design, and project management services. Paula is an active board member of Volunteer BC.

An internationally-recognised author, presenter and thought leader, Karen is known for challenging the standard thinking around volunteerism, turning a spotlight on overlooked problems and bringing creative solutions to long-standing issues. With her passion for making a difference in the world, Karen has gained decades of experience as a volunteer, a leader of volunteers and as a board member. Her professional life has spanned many industries, working in the private, public, and social impact sectors in various leadership positions. Devin Gambler, MBA, is a Woodland Cree leader from Bigstone Cree Nation and the Principal and Owner of ᐸᒥᐦᑖᐤ Consulting Inc., an Indigenous-owned consulting firm based in Kamloops, British Columbia. He brings more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit governance, Indigenous economic development, community engagement, strategic planning, and organizational leadership. Devin has held numerous senior volunteer and board leadership positions, including six years with Volunteer Kamloops, where he served as President, Vice-President, and Director. His governance experience also extends to community health, housing, economic development, and Indigenous organizations. A graduate of Thompson Rivers University’s Master of Business Administration program, Devin is a published academic, professional writer, and experienced public speaker. His work is grounded in the belief that strong organizations are built through meaningful relationships, inclusive leadership, sound governance, and the recognition of volunteers as essential partners in creating healthier and more resilient communities.
