Volunteers in organizations licensed through the Community Care and Assisted Living Act are now required to undergo a Criminal Record Review through the Province of BC. If you have been affected by this legislation, this information session is for you. The process will be explained and your questions answered.
This workshop is for Coordinators of Volunteers, Executive Directors, staff and Boards of Directors.

Do you have photos of volunteers who show passion, take action and make an impact in your community? Send us your best photo that communicates Volunteer Canada’s National Volunteer Week theme: Volunteer: Passion, Action & Impact.

Photos can be submitted on behalf of an organization or an individual. All entries will be posted on our website – volunteerphotocontest.tumblr.com during National Volunteer Week: April 15-21. Winners will be announced in our newsletter – The Connector and be included in our annual report. Prizes will be awarded to the top three photos.

Profiling Volunteer Centres

One of our online initiatives in 2012 is to help our member volunteer centres raised their profile. In the coming months, we are going to profile one volunteer centres each month. If your centre would like to be profiled, please send us a 150 word write-up about your centre, together with one to two photographs, and we will profile your volunteer centre in a first-come-first-serve basis.
