BC Membership Categories:
Membership
with Volunteer BC is open, upon application being accepted, to individuals,
volunteer centres, not-for-profit organizations, community associations/businesses,
and other supporters who value the purposes of the Society and meet
the criteria as defined by the following categories.
Volunteer
Centres
Active Membership $75.00
Non-profit,
voluntary organizations that have adopted the Volunteer Canada "Core
Competencies" defining the role of volunteer centres.
Volunteer
Centres are entitled to one (1) vote at all membership meetings,
the right to nominate board members and stand for election, to receive
all privileges of membership and to access Volunteer BC services.
Local
Voluntary/Community Organizations
Affiliate Membership $0.00
Non-profit,
voluntary organizations that are members of local volunteer centres,
where one exists, and by extension become members of the Society
per agreement between BC Volunteer centres and Volunteer BC.
Local
Voluntary/Community Organizations
Active Membership $75.00
Non-profit,
voluntary organizations not affiliated through their volunteer centre,
may apply for membership directly on their own standing.
They are entitled to receive notice of all meetings and will
have voting privileges.
Provincial
Voluntary Organizations (See VOCBC Link)
Active Membership $75.00
Provincial
level, voluntary organizations that have similar values who support
the purposes of Volunteer BC and demonstrate a commitment to volunteerism
best practices.
Entitled
to one (1) vote at all membership meetings, the right to nominate
board members and to stand for election, to receive all privileges
of membership and to access Volunteer BC services.
Community
Supporters
Active Membership $75.00
Interest
groups, businesses, associations, professional groups that have
similar values, support the pruposes of Volunteer BC and demonstrate
a commitment to volunteerism best practices.
Entitled
to one (1) vote at all membership meeting, the right to nominate
board members and to stand for election, to receive all privileges
of membership.
Individuals
Active Membership $40.00
Board
members, community volunteers and others who have shared values,
support the purposes of the Society and demonstrate a commitment
to volunteerism best practices.

privileges of membership.
Affiliate

Incorporated
or unincorporated organizations or agencies, businesses or government
bodies which support the mission and objectives of the society.
