outcomes measures regarding community impact

Support the skills development of the voluntary sector.
- Conduct
a training needs survey for the voluntary sector
- Develop
a database of training and consultation resources
- Participate
in the development of a volunteer centre trainers' network
5.
Provide materials and resources to assist volunteer centres and
their local community partners.
- Develop
a web site with resources (tools, information, web links)
- Distribute
information to community partners
- Provide
consultation on the use of resources
6.
Address the issues affecting the voluntary sector.
- The
safety of vulnerable persons: Develop a provincial screening initiative.
- Ensure
governance volunteers have the necessary tools: Develop a provincial
governance/board development initiative.
7.
Promote the value and impact of volunteering.
- Facilitate
community awareness of B.C. volunteer celebrations (including International
Year of Volunteers 2001).
- Promote
volunteerism through media liaison, speaking engagements, etc.
